Sony Launches Ultra Portable Camera With Wi-Fi

Sony introduces a new compact A5100 camera that has very portable design, and claims to have the smallest sensor size in the world which includes a Wi-Fi and a built-in flash.

The A5100 comes with the same Fast Hybrid Autofocus that can auto focus in just 0.07 seconds. It also has 24.3-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor, backed by Bionz X processor.

Sony A5100 offers 179 plane phase-detection points so it can capture fast moving subject. It also has a 180-degree tilting touchscreen that you can use to focus in on a specific area more quickly.

In addition, the compact A5100 can capture 1080p video at 50Mbps. It also supports dual video recording, which means it can record two files simultaneously, including a full HD and a less high quality MP4 format. Both files are saved at the same time to the SD card.

When it comes to connectivity, Sony A5100 has built-in Wi-Fi so that users can connect the camera to their smartphone or tablet and automatically share photos and videos to others.

Sony A5100 will start to roll in stores next month for $700. It comes in black or white and complete with a kit and a 16-50-millimeter motorized zoom lens.
