Have you ever wondered what you might look like as a cartoon character? If so, American artist Rober DeJesus has got you covered – he turns stranger’s photos into anime versions of themselves.

DeJesus accepts email requests from anyone, so, for a price, even you can get a quality “anime treatment.” He does have a stringent set of guidelines for requests, however, so be sure to read them on his DeviantArt profile if you don’t want him to throw out your request.

Jordan Mang-osan, an award-winning Filipino artist, has harnessed the sun’s power to create beautiful artwork. By using a magnifying glass, he focuses the sun’s rays into a super-hot point that he uses to burn beautiful drawings onto wooden boards.

Mang-osan draws upon the culture, history and environment of his native Cordilleras region and of the Igorot people, of whom he is a member.

Embroidery art often seeks to mimic nature, but Australian visual artist Meredith Woolnough has a special technique we’ve never seen before. By using water-soluble fabric, her beautiful embroidery, which is inspired by nature’s most graceful forms, gains a new dimension of lightness and delicacy.

 First, she traces a natural form onto her water-soluble fabric. Then, once she has embroidered her art onto the fabric and dissolved it, she mounts the resulting artwork on a piece of paper, a wall, or whatever other format the artwork demands. Some are even suspended in clear resin or framed. And she does it all with a regular domestic sewing machine!
